Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

2412m) 32km from Almora , binsar was the summer capital of the chand king. the whole regions now under the Binsar Sanctuary . very rich in biodiversity and a center par-excellence for Himalayan views as for a holidays in uninterrupted solitude. with at least 166 identified bird species in the region, binsar is a veritable gold mine for bird watchers. or you could even go chasing after a sight of the solitary leopard that inhbite binsar. the newly inaugurated little museum at the entry to binsar is worth a visit.

The picturesque hill district, houses amidst its greens the Askot Sanctuary which adds more dazzle to its already splendid beauty. with magnificent view of snow-capped mountain peak, The highlights of sanctuary are snow-leopards, himalayan black bear, snow-cocks, thars bharls, monals,chirs, koklas, pheasants and chukors.
