Askot Sanctuary (16550m) At a distance of 15 km from Pithoragarh, this Sanctuary is rich and well know for its Sal , Oak and pine forest, and numerous water fall. The picturesque hill district, houses amidst its greens the Askot Sanctuary which adds more dazzle to its already splendid beauty. with magnificent view of snow-capped mountain peak, The highlights of sanctuary are snow-leopards, himalayan black bear, snow-cocks, thars bharls, monals,chirs, koklas, pheasants and chukors.
